Quality home inspections from the professionals at Cornerstone Inspections, LLC!

General home inspections provide a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property. The inspection is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components that are both observed and deemed material by the home inspector.  The scope of work may be modified by the Client and Inspector prior to the inspection process.

I. The general home inspection is based on the observations made on the date of the inspection, and not a prediction of future conditions.

II. The general home inspection will not reveal every issue that exists or ever could exist, but only those material defects observed on the date of the inspection.

A material defect is a specific issue with a system or component of a residential property that may have a significant, adverse impact on the value of the property, or that poses an unreasonable risk to people.  The fact that a system or component is near, at, or beyond the end of its normal, useful life is not, in itself, a material defect.

The systems and components that are inspected as defined by the Tennessee Standards of Practice include the following:

  • Roof
  • Exterior
  • Basement, Foundation, Crawlspace, & Structure
  • Heating
  • Cooling
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Fireplace
  • Attic, Insulation, & Ventilation
  • Doors, Windows, & Interior

The following is included in every buyer’s home inspection:

  • Inspection report delivered within 24 hours of inspection
  • 90 day “We’ll Buy Your Home Guarantee”
  • Free service call from Jake’s Heating and Air (Within 90 days after closing)
  • “Now That You’ve Had A Home Inspection” home maintenance book
  • Home Energy Report accompanied by an online Energy Book
  • Thermal Images

A home should be a place of peace and comfort, that can be achieved with a reliable inspection that gives you a clear picture as to the quality and safety of that home.
